Archie Therapy Ltd is the go to company for schools and businesses looking to introduce their own school dog.

This two day course covers all neccesities when introducing a school dog including:

  • An Introduction to  AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy)
  • Health and Safety (including personalised school risk assessments and documentation)
  • Client Groups and Conditions
  • Animal Behaviour and Communication
  • Animal Assisted Interventions
  • School Dog Interventions (Including reading to dogs)
  • Measuring Outcome
  • Dog/Puppy Socialising and Practical Training

Who: Suitable for schools or similar industries thinking of introducing a dog or in the early stages of introducing a school dog

Cost: Costs stay the same as are usual costs unless additional required for extensive travel

Dog: Suitable for puppies and dogs of all ages with good temperament. All breeds considered and accepted. It is not necessary to have or to have chosen your dog before this course.

When: 5pm – 8pm (both dates)

Who: Suitable for schools or similar industries thinking of introducing a dog or in the early stages of introducing a school dog

Cost: £399 (one dog and one member of staff) or £499 (one dog and up to 4 staff)

Dog: Suitable for puppies and dogs of all ages with good temperament. All breeds considered and accepted. It is not necessary to have or to have chosen your dog before this course.

COVID-19 – ‘Sensible Attendance’ 

With the Coronavirus pandemic affecting the UK and worldwide, ArchieTherapy has implemented ‘Sensible Attendance’. This is made up of 3 steps which must be considered when attending and delivering training courses. By taking the following steps, you are creating a safer and more reassuring environment resulting in Sensible Attendance.

  • Am I fit to attend this course, in line with NHS advice on COVID-19?
  • Have I considered those in my social network who may be vulnerable?
  • Have I done all that I can to ensure that I have followed the Government guidelines regarding handwashing and cleanliness?

Terms and Conditions for booking
1. Booking fees cover tuition, materials and refreshments
2. Bookings are accepted by telephone, post, online and via email. Bookings made without payment will only be held for 7 days, after which we reserve the right to offer your reservation to other applicants.
3. Only when your deposit has been made can we fully guarantee your booking.
4. The course is limited to specific participant numbers
5. All participants of the courses take part at their own discretion and are individually and wholly responsible for their own property, dog behaviour and actions, either on or off the course premises, for the duration of each session.
6. In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled, moved or rearranged you will be offered a full refund of your payment or an alternative course. The organiser will not be held responsible for any extra costs arising out of the cancellation of a course.
7. Archie Therapy Ltd cannot refund your course fee if you cancel your booking less than a week in advance of your course.
8. Places are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Complete booking form for a provisional booking – places will be confirmed on receipt of payment.
